Overview
Tupirvik Territorial Park (campground) provides a great place to camp in Resolute Bay. Look for the signs from the airport to the site. Tupirvik Territorial Park has newly been developed and includes outhouse facilities, tent pads and fire pits. While in Resolute, you can hike along an old seabed rich with fossils dating back 400 million years, watch for whales in the bay. The Community was a critical junction along the Northwest Passage in the 18th and 19th centuries; and is named after the HMS Resolute, a British ship that was in search of the lost Franklin expedition.
